The chainsaw appears in several GTA's since GTA Vice City as a weapon. It is a rather gruesome weapon that will kill most vicitims with one strike. It is possible to activate the chainsaw while you're walking, making it an excellent weapon to kill large groups of opponents. However, due to the weight of the chainsaw, you can not walk as fast as normal while wielding this weapon.
Trivia
- Colonel Cortez explicitly asks Tommy Vercetti to kill Gonzales with a chainsaw.
- A chainsaw can be found in the bloody bathroom of Apartment 3C as a reference to the movie Scarface, which contains a scene in which some one is killed with a chainsaw in a bathroom.
