Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released exclusively for PlayStation 2 in October 2004. The game had staggered the audience because of its big size. San Andreas represents a complete state, with three large cities and ten small villages. Apart from the storyline and the usual submissions, the player has many possibilities in GTA San Andreas like tuning, sports and go out with girlfriends. No doubt, GTA San Andreas is one of the most extensive games of this time.
The Story
Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas... a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where film stars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangs.
Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.
On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops accuse him of homicide, his family and friends have a hard time accepting him end their gang is being threatened by a rival gang. It's clear to Carl that something has got to be done against the dealing Ballas and the corrupt cops (Tenpenny and Pulaski). When Carl's brother Sweet is put in jail and it turns out not all of their friends can be trusted, CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets. On this journey Carl meets new friends and fierce enemies in the underground scene of San Andreas, where he gets in contact with the violent gangs of the big cities.
First Grand Theft Auto III, then Vice City and now San Andreas to end the trilogy of the three original locations. A new chapter in the legendary series. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was released exclusive on PlayStation 2 again and was released on October 26th, 2004 in North America and on October 29th, 2004 in Europe.
On June 7th, 2005 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released on PC and Xbox in North America. It was released three days later in Europe (June 10th, 2005).
