The MP5, MP5K (an abbreviation of the German term 'Machinenpistole 5' or 'Machinenpistole 5 Kurz', which translates to 'machine pistol 5' and 'machine pistol 5 short') or SMG (submachine gun) is the most powerful machine gun in GTA. The MP5 is often used by the police or even the army in GTA due to the power of this weapon. The downside is that this weapon can only hold 30 rounds in its magazine, in comparison to the regular 50. Also, you can't fire this gun while walking.
You reach the 'gangster level' at 30% weapon skill, and 'hitman level' at 100% in GTA San Andreas.
