A stubby shotgun or sawn-off shotgun is, as the name implies, a shotgun with a sawn off barrel. It has a shorter range, wider spread and about the same amount of power as a normal shotgun.
The sawnoff shotgun in GTA San Andreas has two barrels and you can wield two shotguns at once when you have reached the 'hitman level'. You reach the 'gangster level' at 20% weapon skill, and 'hitman level' at 100%.
