A sniper rifle is a very accurate gun, used to hit a target over a very long distance. The weapon has a scope which you can use to zoom in on your target. You can only use the weapon in FPV. Most enemies will die after one hit, but because you have to reload the weapon after each shot and aiming over long distances take time, the sniper rifle is not practical in direct gun fights.
The sniper rifle is available since GTA III, but is not available in GTA Advance, due to the Top Down View.
Trivia
- A well known easter egg is that you can change the size of the moon by shooting at it with a sniper rifle.
