The thermal goggles show the difference between warm and cold objects, enabling you to discover other people at night and in dark areas. Warm surfaces appear as red and cold surfaces as blue. Unlike the night vision goggles, the pick-ups of the thermal goggles in GTA San Andreas will not respawn. After you have picked them up once, they will not appear again at that spot.
