The Heat-seeking rocket launcher is an Infrared homing rocket launcher. Its rockets will chase the target until they hit or until the target managed to get away. While you aim the weapon, the weapon automatically locates the nearest target and locks on it with a green marker. When it turns red, you can fire the rocket so it will keep following its target. You can also use the heat-seeking rocket launcher as a regular rocket launcher by firing while the marker is still green.
Trivia
- The SAM-installations in Area 69 and on the aircraft carrier in San Fierro also fire heat-seeking missiles.
